Well we got back and have been busy so I really haven't had time to go over and get them. She really hasn't wanted to give them back. It has worked out for the both of us. So we are Chickenless. I still have a couple dozen eggs on hand so I don't have a need to have them back and she is getting all the eggs she can handle. With the time change this is the time of year where I don't get to really enjoy them anyway. A typical day involves me getting up and let the chickens out before dark and then return home at dark to put them in, so there isn't really time to enjoy time out there with them during the week. It has been pretty nice. It was funny to see that some of the straw I had put out there had actually sprouted wheat.
This has me thinking of a business venture, Rent-a-Chicken. If you are in the Nashville area and want to rent a chicken to see if you like it just let me know. It would be interesting to see if there was a market for it.
