Our Jungle Chicken, Chipette, did not lay an egg yesterday and possibly the day before. I was a little worried about that, but didn't think too much about it. Well my wife texted me this picture this morning. It is the planter on our front porch with two little eggs in it. This planter is not in an easy location to get to and the only chicken who knows about this spot is her. She would have had to jump over the front fence, walk around the house, climb up the porch, and then jump up onto a 30" tall log and then into the planter. That is some determination. There are no fences that can hold her back. She is quickly becoming our favorite chicken. She is as wild as they come. Yet somehow she allows us to pick her up and pet her.
